Why My Travels Benefit My Clients - Lakes Como and Garda

Villa Del Balbianello

As you may have seen on my Facebook page, the last week of March I had the opportunity to visit Venice, Lake Garda, Lake Como and finish in Milan. Most people think I’m on vacation but I am actually shopping new experiences for my clients. You may have seen my last blog, Why My Travels Benefit My Clients, that outlined what I discovered for my clients in Venice. This blog explores some of the experiences I had in the Garda and Como areas.

In Lake Garda –

Drink Wine. This isn’t exactly a new concept in Italy and the villa winery we visited was not in Lake Garda but on the way there. I had to include because it was like no place I’ve ever visited. Villa della Torre Allegrini was purchased by a woman who lived nearby as a girl and vowed to make it hers someday. It is spectacular with gigantic fireplaces, delicious food and, of course, vino.

Relax. We were able to stay one night at LeFay Resort & Spa. Situated on top of a mountain with magnificent views of the lake and mountains, this spa is one of the best in the world. I think a nice 2-3 day addition to any visit to Italy. The rooms are high tech, the service friendly and the spa treatments are to die for! We were also treated to a cooking lesson making a regional favorite, gnocchi. A perfect mix of relaxation and fun!

In Lake Como –

Art. When we visited Lake Como we did an all day tour; taking in sights like Villa del Balbianello and Villa Carlotta. We also took a watercolor class. Set on the shores of Lake Como, a local artist gave us the opportunity to let our creativity flow. Frankly, I thought I would be bored but you really get in the zone as you quietly contemplate nature. One of the most unexpectedly memorable activities I’ve ever done.

These are just a few of the activities I did while in Lakes Garda and Como areas. If none of these sounds interesting to you, no problem! Your trip is always custom-designed, so call me to talk about exactly what you would like to do in Italy and I can make it happen!
